Regarding Recent Rule Changes
Since before the announcement of UW07 -Realm of Gods-, we’ve received many questions about certain answers provided in the card FAQ and confusing game states resulting from certain cards.
Regarding [Auto] skill activations that occur when cards move between areas due to a change in control, we have changed 8-6-5-1-2 in the official rules and unified these specific card rulings. We have made these changes to make these effects more intuitive to understand.
Previously, these [Auto] abilities would enter pending with one player as the master but resolve with another. Moving forward, the player that puts the [Auto] into pending will be the one to activate it and resolve it.
We understand this rule change will affect the gameplay of certain cards, and we would like to formally notify our players about these changes.
Example : BT6-061 Broly, Power Unleashed
Q5. If your opponent gains control of this card by one of their skills, does this card’s auto skill activate and resolve?
A5. Yes, the auto skill activates. However, since your opponent is the master of the skill, your opponent gets to activate and resolve the skill.
A5.Yes, it activates. The master of the Battle Area prior to the card changing control becomes the master of this skill, and activates and resolves it.
Q&A entries for BT06-061, BT06-062, BT06-063, and P-374 will be updated accordingly on our website by March 4, 2022.
