1. Deck Overview

-a. Deck goals

Green {Raditz} has traditionally functioned as a more control-heavy archetype leaning heavily into Green’s bread and butter – advantage through discarding cards. Raditz takes that strategy to the next level by not only keeping the opponent with a small hand size; cards discarded by his Leader skill sends the opponent’s cards to the Warp! Disrupt your opponent’s strategies, develop advantage over time, and finish the game with some potent [Critical] skills!

-b. Early game

Hand destruction-based decks are the most successful when you’re able to remove multiple cards from your opponent’s hand each turn. {BT10-068 Vegeta, the Lone Prince} is a great way to start removing cards from the opponent’s hand. Your Leader’s [Activate: Main] skill should help you regularly get through Turn 1 in most games, but {BT9-132 Cell’s Earth-Destroying Kamehameha} is a great back-up plan. Just make sure to only charge Green cards to ensure you get to resolve all of its effects!

-c. Mid game

If you begin turn 3 with a high Life total, take advantage of {SS3 Nappa, Golden Invader} for a powerful Awakening turn, doubling the amount of cards removed from the opponent’s hand each turn. If you find your opponent only has a couple cards left in their hand, try resolving {DB2-069 Ribrianne, Punishing Passion}. Keep their hand size low, and their options will be limited.

To offset your Leader not drawing many cards, {EX07-07 Raditz, Ruthless Adversary} will fix your hand right up! It’s possible to draw 4 or more cards through {Raditz, Ruthless Adversary}, and even more if your opponent uses cards like their own {Ribrianne, Punishing Passion} to fill their Warp area!

{BT15-153 The Wicked Saiyans} is the deck’s new trump card! Easy to find by your Leader’s [Activate: Main] Skill, this card will help you finish games and keep their hand size low! To get the most value out of this card, try to wait until your opponent has less than 4 cards in Active Mode to ensure it enters the Battle Area. Keep an eye on that 0 cost +10,000 combo power – it can get you out of some sticky situations!

-d. Defensive cards:

Green has historically had some of the best defensive options in the Unison Warriors series, and this deck plays many of them! If you find your hand size running low, try resolving the [Activate: Main] skill on {DB2-160 Not Even a Scratch} to replenish your hand.

2. Synergistic picks

To ensure your Leader is consistently able to find cards with its [Activate: Main] skill in the early game, {P-346 Raditz, Vengeful Strike} is a great card to retrieve if you’ve already found {The Wicked Saiyans}. You have to discard a card when you use this skill; try discarding {DB1-064 Great Ape Son Goku, Saiyan Instincts} and then using its skill right away to draw 2 more cards!

3. In Closing

If you’ve been fond of decks in the past that control your opponent’s hand size, {Raditz, Brotherly Revival} will not disappoint. This Leader is one of the best decks to build if you want to showcase your copy of {BT15-153 The Wicked Saiyans} you pull from your boxes of -Saiyan Showdown- ! Don’t miss out on pre-release events at participating stores to get yourself a copy of this Leader Card!

What other decks are you excited to place this Secret Rare into? Tune in next week as we showcase another Secret Rare – you won’t want to miss it!
